Minimum requirements:
At least 7 years of experience in a refining, petrochemical or chemical lab environment Demonstrated analytical equipment troubleshooting Demonstrated corporate competencies Demonstrated IT capability for implementation of analytical instrumentation Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and problem solve Good computing skills Good management and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities S. degree in Chemistry or a related field is preferred but not required Essential duties/responsibilities: Will have sole responsibility of managing and overseeing the lab, equipment and personnel. Lead and demonstrate safety compliance within the laboratory. Provides instrumentation troubleshooting support beyond the Lab Tech capabilities. Professional team player. Focal point for operations and sales to interface with the Lab for quality support & product disposition. Identifies and drives improvement in Lab processes/systems, testing, methods, and cost. Champions change. Collaborate with Lab Techs to ensure timely calibration and maintenance of Lab equipment. Collaborate with Lab Techs to provide Lab technical support for process troubleshooting, process improvement, and new business development. Supports Director of Quality to provide technical training on Lab quality systems for Lab technicians. Sets high expectations for quality and timeliness of action items (MOC, ISO etc.) resolution.
