Join us! Job Summary and Qualifications The Nursing Supervisor ensures high quality, patient-centered nursing care through oversight of a specific shift or segment of operations. The Nursing Supervisor monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values, and creates an environment to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. Implements evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes. Models, promotes, and holds staff accountable for providing consistent, positive interactions that create an unparalleled patient experience. Ensures adherence to standards of care. Fosters interdisciplinary communication and collaboration within and across departments to meet patient care needs. Participates in interviews, selection, onboarding, and training of staff. Assumes responsibility for the daily management of staff, including operational supervision, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Oversees staff scheduling. Maintains staffing in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines. Ensures equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards. Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment. Represents the organization positively within the community; participates in company-supported community/patient events and in-services. Performs other duties as assigned.
