What You'll Do:

Lead day-to-day operations of blood bank/Transfusion Services, ensuring regulatory compliance Supervise staff, including technologists and technicians, in high, moderate, and waived complexity testing Coordinate schedules, personnel, and workflow for assigned shifts Maintain quality assurance, update procedures, and implement new methodologies Troubleshoot and operate laboratory equipment such as EPIC Beaker, SoftBank, Orthovison systems Ensure safety policies are followed and conduct regular training Review test results for accuracy; notify clinicians of critical values Manage inventory, supplies, and reagents to ensure continuous operation Provide reports, conduct performance reviews, and support staff development Participate in performance improvement activities and proficiency testing Collaborate with the laboratory team to optimize processes and deliver quality patient care

What You Need:

Bachelor's degree or higher in medical laboratory science or related field 5+ years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Scientist Extensive experience in blood bank/transfusion services Certification as MLS from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS Strong leadership and communication skills, with professional social skills Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends, in a 24/7 environment About the
