Lab Manager and Support Technician Location:
Richardson, TX Shift:
Onsite / normal business hours
Contract:
6 months Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and technically adept Lab Manager and Support Contractor to ensure the seamless operation of our CTC and its associated labs. This role is responsible for technical support, facilities management, inventory control, and visitor hospitality. This is a great position for someone who is ascending in their career within the Data Center, Lab and Customer interfacing environment. Professionalism and communication skills are a high priority.
Key Responsibilities Technical & Lab Operations:
Monitor lab network circuits, resolve outages with service providers, and install/configure new equipment. Provide hands-on support to CTC Engineers for customer-specific projects and manage lab asset inventory using internal systems (e.g., Netbox, Velocity).
Facilities & Visitor Experience:
Maintain labs and conference rooms for Executive Briefing Center (EBC) events. Serve as the primary contact for customer visits, providing hospitality services including hosting, meal coordination, and facility tours. Coordinate with facilities via work-order tickets for maintenance and manage the CTC kitchen area.
Coordination & Logistics:
Manage all incoming and outgoing shipments via FedEx. Act as the primary liaison for third-party contractors regarding facility expansions, cabling projects, and power upgrades. Qualifications and Skills Proven experience in technical support, lab assistance, or IT coordination. Hands-on experience with network/server equipment installation and cabling. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems. Experience or familiarity with ServiceNow platform Strong interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor and customer-centric mindset.
