Job Description Day to
Day:
As a Robotics Lab Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a robotics research lab supporting a fleet of approximately 10 robotic test stations. You'll serve as the operational backbone for the team, ensuring robots, equipment, lab spaces, and supporting infrastructure are organized, safe, and running efficiently. While this role is not focused on robotics software development, you will need enough technical aptitude to identify issues, perform basic troubleshooting, and coordinate with engineering teams or IT partners when support is required. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple logistics and operational priorities in a fast-paced R D environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations for a fleet of robotic test stations and supporting lab infrastructure
  • Coordinate lab scheduling, equipment utilization, and space management to maximize efficiency
  • Track lab assets, inventory, consumables, and equipment maintenance requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for lab logistics and operational readiness
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lab environment in accordance with company safety standards
  • Perform basic technical troubleshooting on robotic stations, workstations, and supporting equipment
  • Identify networking, hardware, or infrastructure issues and coordinate with appropriate support teams for resolution
  • Manage equipment ordering, vendor coordination, shipment tracking, and receiving processes
  • Develop and maintain lab documentation, operating procedures, and inventory records
  • Support onboarding of new team members and ensure adherence to lab processes and safety protocols

Skills and Requirements Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Operations, Engineering, Robotics, Technical Program Management, or related field
  • Experience managing technical labs, prototyping environments, manufacturing spaces, or hardware-focused operations
  • Experience coordinating equipment, inventory, logistics, or facility operations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic technical troubleshooting skills, including familiarity with PCs, networking concepts, and hardware systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across engineering, facilities, IT, and operations teams
  • Experience developing and maintaining operational processes and documentation
Plusses:
  • Experience working in robotics, autonomous systems, or hardware R D environments
  • Familiarity with robotic systems, robot arms, sensors, actuators, or test platforms
  • Experience supporting engineering labs within technology companies
  • Knowledge of lab safety programs, EHS standards, or operational compliance requirements
  • Experience using inventory management, asset tracking, or facilities management tools
  • Basic understanding of Linux systems and network connectivity troubleshooting
