Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join a leading healthcare facility in Arcata, California. This travel contract offers a unique 7-on/7-off night shift schedule , allowing for an excellent work-life balance. The ideal candidate will have strong generalist laboratory experience, including blood bank, and hold a current California CLS or MLS license. Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, coagulation, urinalysis, and blood bank. Analyze, verify, and accurately report patient test results. Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures. Operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments. Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and facility policies. Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and patient records. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support patient care. Participate in proficiency testing and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Requirements Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license. Minimum 2 years of Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Generalist experience preferred. Recent Blood Bank experience is required. Current TB clearance completed within the past 12 months. Strong knowledge of laboratory quality control and safety standards. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
$2,250.00 - $2,302.00 per week
