Medical Technologist Hematology

6 Months Contract
Description:
The Medical Technologist, Proficient(Lab) position performs complex laboratory procedures following established laboratory policy and procedures; reports test results, monitors workflow, and manages instrumentation maintenance with minimal supervision. Evaluates and ensures compliance with service guarantees and specimen quality requirements. Identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the team. This position reports to the Manager/Supervisor, Laboratory (Lab).
Responsibilities:
Performs essential duties of a Medical Technologist. Identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities. Assists in the evaluation of new and existing test methodologies, new and current equipment Assists in the development and compliance of policies and procedures Uses critical thinking backed on practical experience & routine situations Identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities. Assists the supervisor/manager/designee in monitoring workflow and ensuring adequate resources. Performs training for all TM's and may act as a preceptor. If 6+ years' experience, can perform competency assessments. Assists the supervisor/manager/designee in ensuring inspection readiness. Assists with inventory to ensure adequate supplies. Other duties as assigned.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, biological sciences, or related field. 2 to 6 years' experience Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Six (6) years plus experience is required to work unsupervised Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position. #TB_HC #ZRHC Why TalentBurst?
