Technologist - Blood Bank II

Complexity of Work:

Intermediate knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation. Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers. Intermediate knowledge of laboratory information systems. Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, performance with high levels of accuracy, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Work Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years work experience required as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.

Additional Education Info:

Associates degree with five (5) years or more of experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree. Bachelors degree required to assess competency.

Additional Cert/License Info:

Florida State License as a Technologist (TN License) or Supervisor (SU License) in the area of responsibility.
