About the
Role:
As a full-time Laboratory Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in supporting patient care by performing complex laboratory tests and analyses that provide essential data for diagnosis and treatment. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results by adhering to strict quality control and safety protocols. This position requires collaboration with healthcare professionals to interpret laboratory findings and contribute to clinical decision-making. You will manage and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Ultimately, your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes by delivering timely and precise laboratory information.
Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed as a Medical Technologist Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting performing diagnostic testing. Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP). Ability to operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and information systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with laboratory automation systems and advanced diagnostic technologies. Familiarity with laboratory quality management systems and process improvement methodologies. Previous experience in a hospital or large healthcare facility laboratory environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids using automated and manual techniques. Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance and accuracy of test results. Analyze test data, identify abnormalities, and report findings to physicians and healthcare teams promptly. Adhere to all safety, quality control, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment. Document all procedures, test results, and quality control activities accurately in laboratory information systems. Collaborate with laboratory staff and clinical teams to improve testing processes and resolve technical issues. Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advances in laboratory technology and methodologies.
