Qualifications:
Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Lab Technician (ASCP or equivalent) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field Proven experience operating laboratory instruments and performing testing in a clinical laboratory setting Strong understanding of quality control procedures, laboratory safety, and regulatory standards Excellent communication and critical thinking skills Ability to collaborate effectively with providers, laboratory staff, and other healthcare team members
Responsibilities:
Accurately perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank as needed Analyze, interpret, and report laboratory results to assist in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment, ensuring equipment is calibrated and functioning properly Perform quality control and quality assurance activities, recognizing anomalies and troubleshooting as necessary Adhere to all hospital and laboratory policies, including infection control and confidentiality protocols Maintain organized records, participate in proficiency testing, and assist in training new staff or students as requested By working in this role, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive laboratory team focused on maintaining the highest standards of patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
