Tuition Reimbursement Student Loan Repayment Job Summary As a Registered Sleep Technologist, you will perform high-quality diagnostic sleep studies under the direction of our Medical Director. This role is critical in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders through accurate patient assessment, precise scoring, and meticulous documentation in our Fort Wayne facility.
Essential Functions Diagnostic Testing :
Conduct sleep studies according to established protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Patient Assessment :
Perform and document comprehensive assessments before and during studies; monitor real-time physiological data.
Scoring & Analysis :
Accurately score sleep records adhering to AASM standards and communicate findings to physicians for evaluation.
Clinical Documentation :
Maintain thorough test results and patient data in compliance with regulatory standards.
Lab Maintenance :
Calibrate and troubleshoot sleep study equipment to ensure optimal operational performance.
Specimen Handling :
Collect and transmit biological specimens following strict integrity procedures.
Patient Education :
Clearly explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and promote study compliance.
Qualifications Experience :
1-3 years of experience in sleep technology or a related clinical field. Certifications ( Required ): Must hold a current RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) or CPSGT (Certified Polysomnographic Technician) credential.
Life Support :
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Skills :
Proficiency in scoring sleep studies, strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to work independently during night shifts. Shift Night Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, 6:00pm - 6:30am
