Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will perform routine and complex laboratory testing in molecular diagnostics and other areas as assigned, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in test results to support quality patient care. Previous experience with molecular testing and extraction analyzers are preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
Perform, analyze, and report a variety of laboratory tests with precision and accuracy. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Adhere to all quality control, safety, and compliance standards (CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA). Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Participate in proficiency testing, competency assessments, and ongoing training. Collaborate with physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate test reporting.
Qualifications:
Have earned a doctoral, master's, or bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution OR Have earned an associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution. ASCP (MT/MLS) or equivalent certification strongly preferred. Previous clinical laboratory experience desirable. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Schedule:
Part-time Wednesday - Saturday Approximately 30 hours per week No relocation, sponsorship, or VISA available.
