Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Elevate your career in laboratory sciences with this dynamic opportunity for skilled professionals passionate about making a difference in patient care. In this contract role, you'll apply your expertise as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician within a well-equipped, fast-paced setting. This position offers a unique schedule with four 10-hour night shifts weekly. Exact shift hours will be discussed during the interview process.
Required Qualifications:
Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) through ASCP Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory environment Comprehensive understanding of laboratory testing procedures, instrument operation, and quality control protocols Ability to analyze complex laboratory results, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain accurate documentation Strong attention to detail, with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills Effective communication abilities and a collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and validate a wide range of laboratory tests, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols Calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation as required Monitor quality control measures and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards Document and report critical lab results to healthcare providers promptly and efficiently Participate in continuing education and training to remain current with evolving laboratory technologies and best practices
