Job Summary

Utilizes laboratory skills to perform and report results of clearly defined laboratory procedures assuring optimal patient oues. Performs other duties as assigned. Rmends and evaluates technical methods and procedures. Executes effective and efficient Laboratory operations. Works assigned shifts and subject to overtime and call back as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Receives, identifies,anizes and prioritizes specimens to ensure accurate and timely test processing.

Performs and reports requested laboratory procedures.

Performs quality control, proficiency testing, routine instrument maintenance and inventory control.

Evaluates positive patient identification to reduce analytical and post-analytical error and/or adverse patient oues.

Assesses, evaluates and draws appropriate conclusions.

Evaluates technical methods and procedures.

Executes effective and efficient Laboratory operations.

Supports life long learning

Completes assigned goals.

Experience

Advanced technical and managerial skills.

Minimum Required

Two (2) years of experience as Medical Technologist.

Preferred/Desired

Hospital experience preferred.

Education

Minimum Required

State Licensures and/or National registration or certification in concordance with current Federal and/or State Regulations.

State Licensures and/or National registration or certification in concordance with current Federal and/or State Regulations.
