Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our clinical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests, analyzing data, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of test results. This role requires a strong foundation in laboratory procedures, clinical diagnostics, and laboratory management to support patient care. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision, technical expertise, and adherence to safety protocols are paramount. Duties Verifies patient informtion with the EMR. Conduct a wide range of laboratory tests. Perform specimen collection and processing such as venipuncture and finger sticks. Tracks collected blood specimens. Manage laboratory data using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and ensure accurate documentation of test results. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment; perform quality control checks to ensure optimal performance. Assist in laboratory management tasks, including inventory control, compliance with safety standards, and staff training. Qualifications Associates degree or higher. Valid certification or licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technologist is required. Proven experience with clinical laboratory techniques including phlebotomy and specimen processing. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and documenting findings accurately. Prior hospital, medical practice or clinical laboratory experience is advantageous; This position requires a dedicated professional committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
