In this energetic and fast-paced position, you will utilize advanced ultrasound equipment to produce detailed images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. Your expertise in maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and anatomy will be essential in providing accurate assessments, especially in specialized areas such as obstetric and gynecological imaging. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while working alongside a dedicated team committed to excellence. Duties Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across diverse specialties, including maternal-fetal medicine, Ob/Gyn, and general radiology, ensuring high-quality image acquisition. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly, ensuring their comfort, and maintaining effective communication throughout the exam. Apply comprehensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to optimize imaging techniques and interpret preliminary findings. Maintain strict aseptic technique standards to prevent infection and ensure patient safety during all procedures. Operate sophisticated sonography equipment with precision, adjusting settings to capture optimal images for accurate diagnosis. Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to review images, clarify findings, and facilitate timely diagnosis. Document all procedures thoroughly in accordance with hospital protocols, ensuring accuracy for medical records and future reference. Uphold patient care standards by demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and clear communication throughout each interaction. Experience Proven experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Ultrasound Technologist with a strong background in medical imaging techniques. Demonstrated knowledge of sonography principles within diagnostic radiology settings, including obstetric and gynecological imaging. Familiarity with maternal-fetal medicine practices and the ability to perform detailed fetal assessments is highly desirable. Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound procedures. Experience working with ultrasound equipment used in diagnostic radiology environments; certification from recognized bodies such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of diverse backgrounds and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
