Chapel Hill, NC Job Type:
Full-Time permanent direct hire | 4 Days/Week | 10-Hour Shifts Compensation $26.85-$45.04/hour (based on experience) $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Job Summary We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II with Blood Bank experience to perform advanced laboratory testing, ensure accurate patient results, troubleshoot testing issues, maintain quality standards, and support daily transfusion medicine operations. Responsibilities Perform Blood Bank and clinical laboratory testing. Analyze and report accurate test results. Perform quality control and troubleshoot equipment and testing issues. Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory supplies. Train new staff and support process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, Biological Science, or Chemical Science, or an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. MLS/MT (ASCP/AMT), MLT (ASCP/AMT), or applicable ASCP categorical certification. Blood Bank experience required. Experience in a 500+ bed hospital is preferred. Required Blood Bank Experience Type & Screen Antibody Identification DAT Eluate Phenotyping & Antigen Typing Syringe aliquots and irradiation Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP) Emergency Release procedures CA02
Pay:
$26.85 - $45.04 per hour
