Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic laboratory setting as a generalist, utilizing your expertise as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician. This opportunity is ideal for those passionate about precision, diagnostics, and making a direct impact on patient care in a collaborative environment. The contract position is specifically for 3rd shift, offering the chance to expand your laboratory experience during evening and overnight hours.

Qualifications:
Successful completion of a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician program Current, nationally recognized certification (ASCP or equivalent) Prior generalist laboratory experience strongly preferred Comprehensive understanding of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and safety protocols Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-focused setting Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:
Perform a broad range of diagnostic laboratory procedures with accuracy and efficiency Analyze blood, urine, and other body fluid specimens, reporting results in a timely manner Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment Ensure quality control and adhere to strict laboratory regulations and safety standards Document laboratory findings and maintain accurate records in compliance with facility policies Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and laboratory staff to ensure proper specimen handling and reporting Participate in ongoing training and continuing education as required This contract position is a great way to build your skill set in a fast-paced, supportive environment while contributing to exceptional patient care.
