Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Advance your skills in a dynamic laboratory environment by taking on a contract role as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in a generalist capacity within a well-equipped facility.
Schedule/Hours:
13-week contract assignment 3x12 hour day shifts per week Guaranteed 36 hours weekly
Qualifications:
Active New York State license required Certification through ASCP or AMT Experience as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician, or similar generalist laboratory background Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a high-volume laboratory setting Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a broad range of laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and microbiology Prepare specimens and operate complex laboratory equipment with precision Monitor quality control and assure accurate, timely results for patient care Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret and communicate laboratory findings Uphold safety, infection control, and compliance protocols consistently Participate in ongoing educational and training activities as needed As part of this contract assignment, you will gain exposure to state-of-the-art technology and challenging casework, enhancing both your technical expertise and clinical confidence.
