Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Advance your healthcare career with a dynamic opportunity as a Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician. This contract position offers an engaging role within a supportive laboratory setting, providing valuable clinical experience and the chance to expand your professional horizons.
Schedule/Hours:
13-week assignment 3x12 hour day shifts 36 hours per week guaranteed
Key Qualifications:
Valid New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Technician license (required) ASCP or AMT certification Strong generalist background, experienced in all routine laboratory departments (Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Urinalysis, etc.) Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accurate results Solid communication skills for working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Role Responsibilities:
Perform routine and complex laboratory tests, ensuring quality and accuracy of results Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment Adhere to quality control standards and regulatory compliance guidelines Document, analyze, and interpret laboratory data for clinical care teams Participate in ongoing quality improvement and continuing education initiatives
