Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting laboratory operations with your expertise as a skilled generalist. This contract opportunity is well-suited for a dedicated professional with a strong background as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT). Your proficiency will help ensure accurate test results for patient care and support the laboratory's commitment to quality.

Required Qualifications:
Active New York State clinical laboratory license Certified as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Experience in hospital or clinical laboratory settings as a generalist preferred Solid understanding of laboratory processes, instrumentation, and safety protocols Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively collaborate with laboratory team members and healthcare providers Attention to detail and commitment to producing reliable, high-quality results
Key Responsibilities:
Perform, analyze, and validate a variety of laboratory tests across core disciplines (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, etc.) Operate and maintain lab equipment, ensuring proper calibration and documentation Process specimens accurately using established procedures Report critical results in a timely manner to the clinical care team Comply with regulatory standards, laboratory policies, and safety procedures Contribute to ongoing quality control and proficiency testing initiatives Maintain detailed records of laboratory work in accordance with best practices
