Medical Technologist We are seeking skilled Medial Technologists to join our St. Peters Health Partners Laboratory team. Working alongside our other colleagues, the ideal candidate will perform a variety of laboratory tests that will be utilized by our providers to assist in the diagnosing, monitoring, and treatment of the patients we serve. Monday- Friday (includes weekend and holiday rotations)
Responsibilities:
Successfully complete onboarding process. Complete initial training with preceptor and be signed off to work independently. Successfully complete LIS training. Prepares samples for analysis. Evaluate if specimens are suitable for analysis, accepting or rejecting specimens according to laboratory policy. Evaluates testresults/microorganism growth for validity within defined protocols and makes appropriate decisions. Report test results accurately and timely per laboratory protocols Maintains correct patient ID throughout testing. Maintains annual competency and education requirements Completes education and competency documentation before due date Precisely and accurately enters patient/QC results into LIS. Performs/documents quality control testing, calibration and preventative maintenance as defined by established protocol and takes appropriate remedial action. Take initiative and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Recognizes errors, responds appropriately, and escalates as needed. Assist with maintaining inventory of testing reagents and supplies Communicates well with fellow co-workers, other healthcare professionals and our customers to ensure excellent and appropriate follow up. Performs other duties as assigned What you will need: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science with approved medical clinical training. NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT/MT/CLS) license is required. Minimum of 1-year clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required. We will train you!Pay Range:
$33.10- $47.
