Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Take the next step in your laboratory career by contributing vital expertise as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician. This contract role involves working in a busy clinical lab environment, ensuring timely and accurate testing to support high-quality patient care.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS/CLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field Successful completion of an accredited laboratory training program Experience with a variety of laboratory instrumentation, equipment calibration, and troubleshooting Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and quality control procedures Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Effective communication abilities to collaborate with team members and other healthcare professionals
Responsibilities:
Perform clinical laboratory testing, including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, and immunology analyses Verify and document test results, maintaining accuracy and compliance with regulations Ensure all equipment and instruments are operated, maintained, and calibrated according to established protocols Follow all safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures Handle and process specimens in accordance with established guidelines Participate in continuing education and in-service training to stay current with best practices Assist with training and orienting new laboratory staff as needed
