A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Director and Manager, the Medical Technologist is responsible for providing efficient and accurate analysis of specimens processed in the clinical laboratory to provide for quality patient care services. Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in medical technology or related science from an accredited college or university.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE 1 - 3
years in clinical laboratory preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS ASCP
certification or equivalent.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and skills to perform procedures in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology/Serology, Urinalysis, Limited Microbiology, point-of-care, and Phlebotomy skills.
