JOB DESCRIPTION
Hiring for full-time CyPath® Laboratory Technologist
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY
Process sputum samples for CyPath® testing (see www.precisionpath.us for more info) Maintain daily QC protocols on specimens and equipment Manage inventory control in compliance with laboratory policies Maintain departmental equipment according to manufacturer specifications Comply with all local, federal, CLIA, and CAP regulations, safety, infection control, and HIPAA policies All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Biological Science is required Laboratory and experience preferred Meets all CLIA qualifications for High Complexity Tester Knowledge of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Must be proficient in speaking and writing in English
PREFERRED SKILLS
Familiar with Beckman Coulter Navios Flow Cytometer Familiar with Kaluza, Flow Cytometry Analysis Software Familiar with CAP Flow Cytometry checklist CLIA standards for
High Complexity Tester:
High Complexity Testing MD or DO with a current medical license, OR Doctoral degree in clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical, or biological science, OR Master's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological science, OR Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological, OR Associate degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory or equivalent education and training, OR Individuals performing high complexity testing on or before April 24, 1995 with a high school diploma or equivalent with documented training may continue to perform testing only on those tests for which training was documented prior to September 1, 1997, OR Individual previously qualified or could have qualified as a technologist under CFR.493.1489 and
