Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform a variety of laboratory procedures and clinical tasks to support diagnostic testing, research, and patient care. Your expertise will ensure accurate specimen collection, processing, and analysis, contributing directly to high-quality clinical outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where precision, efficiency, and professionalism are paramount. Responsibilities Collect and process biological specimens such as blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids using aseptic techniques and proper venipuncture or phlebotomy methods Perform laboratory tests including ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay), PCR (polymerase chain reaction), flow cytometry, immunoassays, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood banking procedures Manage laboratory data accurately within Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and ensure meticulous record-keeping for all tests and procedures Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, analyzers, microscopes, and blood sampling devices while adhering to safety protocols Assist with clinical trials by preparing specimens, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with research protocols Conduct routine laboratory management tasks including inventory control, calibration of instruments, and adherence to quality assurance standards Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology concepts, and hospital procedures to support clinical workflows effectively Skills Strong data management skills with proficiency in laboratory information systems and data analysis tools Extensive experience with laboratory techniques including blood sampling (venipuncture), specimen processing, and assay execution Knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures related to blood banking, hematology, immunology, molecular biology, and physiology Hands-on experience with ELISA kits, PCR protocols, flow cytometry analysis, immunoassays, RNA extraction kits, DNA isolation methods, and blood banking operations Familiarity with hospital environments and clinical laboratory standards to ensure compliance with safety regulations Excellent understanding of medical terminology relevant to laboratory diagnostics and patient care settings Ability to perform venipuncture accurately while maintaining aseptic technique to ensure specimen integrity Experience in managing laboratory workflows efficiently within busy clinical or research settings Join us in advancing healthcare through precise diagnostics and innovative laboratory practices.
