POSITION SUMMARY
Ark Clinical Research is seeking a skilled and experienced clinician (MD, DO, PA, or NP) to serve as a part-time Clinical Educator in nasal endoscopy. The primary function of this role is to train and competency-certify a Nurse Practitioner at our clinical research site in the safe and effective performance of nasal endoscopy procedures, consistent with clinical trial protocol requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide structured, hands-on training in diagnostic nasal endoscopy to site NP staff Develop and deliver a competency assessment framework including procedural checklist, observation log, and sign-off documentation Supervise and observe trainees during live procedures until competency is established Ensure procedural training aligns with applicable study protocols, ICH E6(R3) GCP standards, and site SOPs Assist in development or review of site-level procedural SOPs related to nasal endoscopy Participate in periodic refresher or quality assurance reviews as needed Document training activities in the site training log per regulatory requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Active California medical license in good standing (MD, DO, PA, or NP) Minimum 3 years of clinical experience performing nasal endoscopy Demonstrated ability to teach or supervise procedural skills; prior training or preceptorship experience preferred Strong working knowledge of nasal and sinus anatomy and endoscopic technique Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred:
Background in allergy, ENT, pulmonology, or related specialty Familiarity with clinical research environments, GCP, or FDA-regulated trials Prior experience in a clinical research site setting
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
Part-time / flexible schedule; hours to be mutually agreed upon On-site presence required during training and supervised procedures Competitive hourly or per-session rate commensurate with experience
