Position overview A developing healthcare training program in Riverdale is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Medical Assisting Instructor to provide classroom and hands-on skills instruction for a planned certificate program. The ideal candidate will have current nursing credentials, relevant clinical experience, strong communication skills, and an interest in preparing students for entry-level employment in medical-assisting settings. This position and its anticipated start date are contingent upon regulatory authorization, program readiness, and sufficient enrollment. Primary responsibilities Deliver classroom and skills-laboratory instruction Follow approved curricula, course outlines, and lesson plans Teach clinical and administrative medical-assisting competencies Demonstrate procedures and supervise hands-on skills practice Evaluate student knowledge, performance, and practical competencies Maintain accurate attendance, grade, progress, and skills records Provide academic support and appropriate remediation Enforce classroom, laboratory, infection-control, and safety procedures Prepare instructional reports and required documentation Participate in faculty orientation, meetings, and professional development Assist with curriculum review and regulatory site preparation Supervise clinical or externship activities when assigned Required qualifications Current, unrestricted Georgia LPN license or higher nursing credential At least two years of relevant teaching and/or occupational experience in nursing, medical assisting, outpatient care, or a closely related field Demonstrated competency in the subjects to be taught Current CPR/BLS certification Knowledge of clinical and administrative medical-assisting procedures Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to work weekday evenings and occasional weekends Ability to provide all required employment and qualification documentation Preferred qualifications Current CMA or RMA certification Experience in a medical-assisting or outpatient medical-office setting Previous classroom, preceptor, clinical-instruction, or staff-training experience Experience preparing lesson plans and evaluating student competencies Experience supervising laboratory or externship activities Required application materials Qualified candidates should submit: Current résumé or curriculum vitae Nursing-license information Copies of applicable professional certifications Diploma or transcript showing the highest completed education Current CPR/BLS documentation Three professional references

Pay:
