Clinical Nurse Educator
CLINICAL EDUCATOR
Functions as member of the management and nursing team. Serves as a leader and role model. Responsible for nursing orientation for new employees and internal transfers. Provides educational programs and in-service to the employees, as well as consults, develops, plans, implements, and evaluates programs provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Master's degree required. 5+ years clinical nursing experience required. Knowledge of CPSI prefered. Must have knowledge surrounding nursing equipment (IV pumps, SCD pumps, CBI, etc.) Experience in Med/Surg, ED and/or Critical Care areas required.
Licensure/Certification:
Current Georgia License as a Nurse. Duties and Responsibilities Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs) Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations of time. Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate. Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. Non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age-specific customer service skills. Physical and Mental Requirements
