JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Clinical Trainer is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing / Clinical Administrative staff in meeting the educational requirements of employees. The Clinical Trainer helps establish and implement educational and training programs that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES1.
Implements and monitors overall delivery of quality educational programs and training within the agency.2. Provides guidance and counseling to clinical staff to assist them in continually improving all aspects of home health care services, provided through organization personnel.3. Assists with establishing and implementing a Home Health Aide Training program.4. Provides assistance in evaluation of patient care to determine areas of educational need and training.5. Develops skills and techniques in evaluating the performance of clinicians, Home Health Aides, other direct care personnel.6. Assists with the development and implementation of the agency's training and development programs by monitoring:a. Orientation of new patient care personnelb. Mandatory in-service and continuing education programsc. Adherence to State and Federal Home Health regulation.d. Assists with the maintenance of staff development training modules and resources for on-going professional educational programs7. Monitors the evaluation of organization performance via performance improvement program. Assures for the quality and safe delivery of home health services provided through the Organization.8. Assists in the development of organization goals. Develops, recommends, and administers organization policies and procedures as related to education and training.9. Assists with the selection and maintenance of qualified staff as required.10. Provides for continuing evaluation of the agency by:a. Evaluating service policies and recommending proposals for changes or study of problems which affect the agency.b. Assists with coordination and monitoring of outcome based studies.c. Evaluating the performance of the individuals in the program in relation to established standards and the individual's professional development.11. Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS1.
Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state.2. Bachelors or Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.3. Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional administrative personnel.4. Ability to meet and deal tactfully with customers/patients and the community.5. Has excellent observation, verbal and written skills.
