Full time; Monday•Friday 8:00 AM•5:00
PM Department:
Center for Professional Practice and Development•will support emergency department
Location:
Presbyterian Medical Center•will also support the community hospitals in the Charlotte region As a Clinical Nurse Educator with Novant Health you'll be trusted to support nurses in your assigned specialty area through skills validation and teaching classes. You will help drive safe, compassionate care where it matters most. This role is ideal for experienced emergency department RNs looking to grow their practice in clinical education A dynamic full time opportunity with exposure to multiple facilities in the Charlotte area Work/life balance with no weekends, call, or holidays Access to continuing education and leadership support Inclusive culture grounded in teamwork, trust, and shared purpose
What We're Looking For:
Education:
4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing, required. BSN, required. Graduate Degree, preferred. MSN, preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three years of clinical practice in area of specialization (emergency department), required.
Licensure/Certification:
Current RN license in appropriate state, required. RN prof cert in relevant specialty within 6 months of hire, required. CEN or CPEN accepted for this position. TNCC or ENPC preferred SANE experience a plus
Additional Skills Required:
Current and future trends/practice in area of responsibility; regulatory and governing standards, policies and procedures; information systems and software used in area of responsibility; equipment used in performing assigned duties; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; team building, conflict management, and interpersonal relationship skills; principles of adult learning and teaching methods/models; effective classroom presentation style; decision making, project leadership and consultation, delegation and communication skills; understanding of customer needs and expectations and knowledge for improvement to exceed customer expectations; knowledge of research and EBP methodologies and analyses; ability to write effectively. Certification is a requirement for the Clinical Nurse Educator role as it demonstrates commitment and expertise to the nursing profession. A certification within relevant clinical specialty is required for this role, and a list of certifications accepted can be obtained through the leadership of The Center for Professional Practice and Development at Novant Health.
