Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Clinical RN Educator, sometimes referred to as a Clinical Nurse Educator, RN Clinical Educator, or Nurse Educator. The Clinical RN Educator in our hospital setting is a registered nurse (RN) who is responsible for providing education services of clinical and patient care services to attain our hospital's objectives, mission and values established by corporate administration. They act as a bridge between clinical practice and education, helping staff stay current with best practices, policies, and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Develop and deliver orientation programs for new clinical staff and provide ongoing training, in-services, and continuing education on clinical skills, protocols, equipment, and patient care standards Serve as a clinical resource to staff during patient care, mentor and coach clinical staff in skill development, critical thinking, and decision-making, and support new graduates and clinical residents during onboarding and transition to practice Help implement new clinical guidelines, hospital policies, and evidence-based practices while monitoring compliance and providing remediation or education as needed Collaborate with leadership on quality improvement and patient safety projects, analyze performance data, and help develop action plans for improvement Encourage certifications, advanced degrees, and career growth and keep staff informed about changes in healthcare regulations and trends Qualifications Education and Work Experience Must have a current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. Minimum of 5 years acute care experience. Minimum of 2 years previous educational experience preferred.
