Job Description:
The Department of Education and Counseling in the College of Education, Health, and Human Servicesinvites applications for a non-tenure track, full-time faculty position (F0279) at the rank of Clinical Educator of Elementary Education.

This position is located in Martinsville, Virginia, and in-person work is required. The successful candidate will teach 12 credithours per semester in the undergraduate elementary education and teaching program offered on our Martinsville campus. Courses are offered inthe evenings in hybrid format to meet the needs of post-traditional, adult learners. Additionally, the successful candidate will advisestudents in the major, supervise students in clinical placements in the field, participate in program and monthly department meetings heldon the main campus in Farmville, contribute to elementary program curriculum and assessment work, and develop and maintain relationshipswith Martinsville area schools.
Requirements:
Master's degree in elementary education, curriculum andinstruction, or a closely related field is required. (Ph.D. or Ed.

D. in elementary education, curriculum and instruction, or a closelyrelated field of study is preferred.) Three or more years of successful teaching experience is required. Currentteaching license in Virginia (or the eligibility to obtain one) is required. Evidence of successful teaching at the undergraduatelevel is preferred.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, non-tenure-track instructional facultyposition with responsibilities each fall and spring semester. Salary will be commensurate with credentials and experience. A successfulfingerprint-based criminal background investigation is required. AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service alumni are encouragedto apply.
