Job Description

The Quality Manager oversees the quality department in its entirety. The Quality Manager leads all customer compliance and product quality requirement activities; is responsible for maintaining the company's AS9100 Quality Management System; and directs all quality activities related to processes, procedures and policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Manager oversees the quality department in its entirety. The Quality Manager leads all customer compliance and product quality requirement activities; is responsible for maintaining the company's AS9100 Quality Management System; and directs all quality activities related to processes, procedures and policies. Plans, coordinates, and directs a department responsible for quality control programs designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Identify, analyze, and develop improvements in throughput, productivity, quality, client relationships, and customer service. Lead cross-functional teams in the execution and reporting of quality improvement projects with a focus on overall process improvements, scrap reduction and supplier quality improvement. Directly supervises quality team members. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, development, and evaluation of the department. Responsible for evaluation and resolution of customer/supplier quality issues. Develop and implement the Quality Management System to support the growth of the Company. Manage annual AS9100 certification surveillance or recertification audits. Continuous reporting of the status of the Quality System to proactively address the organizations Quality needs. Prepare and support customer QMS audits and Quality readiness reviews. Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for internal and customer non-conformances. Analyze quality performance utilizing using statistical and analytical tools and methods data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary. Assist disposition process by conducting failure analysis and suggest corrective actions as Material Review Board member. Lead the AS9102 First Article Inspection planning process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in a business-related field. 7-10 years' experience in quality assurance and 1-2 years management experience. Extensive knowledge and training in ISO/AS. Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills. Read/Interpret requirements from Engineering drawings, Engineering change notices or established operating procedures Minimum of 5 years in Aerospace Manufacturing environment preferred.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS
AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality/Business Management System. Six Sigma/Lean experience ERP/MRP system experience Experience with PC skills - Microsoft Office suite Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the suppliers. Able to build morale and group commitments to achieve goals and objectives; Supports everyone's efforts to succeed; Inspires and motivates others to perform well.
