Oversees use and reporting of Quality Information to improve patient outcomes and fulfill regulatory requirements. Coordinates service improvement initiatives , measures the effectiveness of process improvements, and drives quality results that directly impact patient care and organizational success.
Critical Tasks:
Assists in the development of clinical outcome measures, related tracking and monitoring systems and a mechanism to integrate efforts into organization-wide patient safety, accreditation, and care quality systems Coordinates quality survey activities and action plans Prioritizes, oversees, and assists with external quality and regulatory reporting including ORYX, MIPS, GPRA, MPQIP, and other programs Facilitates use of external quality and regulatory reporting to improve patient outcomes Defines program-specific objectives and establishes metrics, then regularly evaluates and reports on progress toward achieving program outcomes Develops organization's Quality Plan in collaboration with GRHC Executive and Departmental Leadership. Actively participates in a variety of committees providing information, reports and recommendations relevant to care quality and patient safety Works closely and collaboratively with direct and ancillary patient care areas Collaborates with other departments to promote process improvement and outcome improvement strategies. Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality improvement programs/initiatives Participates in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with
Director Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Public health or a related field required, Master's degree preferred. Two years experience as quality manager, coordinator or equivalent Two years management experience CPHQ or CPPS preferred
