Job Description

McGregor PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a community-based service program that provides in-home healthcare services to the elderly as an alternative to nursing home placement, allowing Seniors to remain at home. As the Quality Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality care for our participants. You will lead the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Your work will directly impact the lives of our participants and their families, as well as the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Contributes to participant safety by providing a safe environment for participants, reporting safety concerns, errors, and near misses, participating in system improvement initiatives to prevent errors, and providing evidence-based care as applicable to the role. Promotes and participates in the implementation of Performance Improvement/Quality Improvement strategies by: Implementing activities according to the Quality Improvement Plan Assessing existing processes and identifying performance improvement opportunities. Assisting departments, committees, and teams in developing, implementing, and evaluating Pl/QI activities. Proposing and organizing PI/QI teams/committees. Facilitating teams/groups/committees Facilitating team decision-making using proven Pl/QI methodologies and tools. Developing and presenting just-in-time training to teams. Maintaining an accurate, ongoing inventory of assigned department's PI/QI activities. Assisting in team/committee presentations and progress reports. Serves as resource and staff support to clinical and professional departments/committees by: Facilitating the development of objective criteria to measure processes of care. Coordinating quality improvement committee meetings by: Preparing agendas in collaboration with the committee chairperson Serving as a meeting facilitator Documenting meeting proceedings. Maintaining records of all committee activities Providing information to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies' standards and current standards of care. Establishing and maintaining rapport with clinical and professional departments. Serving as an interdepartmental liaison for quality-related issues including, but not limited to, Risk Management, Safety, Infection Control, and Utilization Management. Disseminating pertinent data to assigned clinical and professional departments/committees. Preparing and presenting educational sessions to departmental staff. Participates in data abstraction and analysis for specific projects by: Accurately abstracting data and developing abstraction guidelines Participating in designing data collection tools. Collecting, analyzing, preparing, and presenting data. Acting as an educator for data, graphical analysis, and statistical process control methodology. Keeps abreast of current advances and practices in PI/QI and regulatory requirements. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
RN licensure required Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to think abstractly and to embrace change Strong presentation skills are required; public speaking experience is desirable Quantitative (statistical) skills, including intermediate computer skills, including
Microsoft Excel Preferred Qualifications:
Quality Director or Director of Nursing experience preferred A minimum of three years in a healthcare environment and quality improvement is preferred.
