Job Requirements A Day in the Life of a Quality Payment Analyst This position provides program/project management services and leadership for hospital and ambulatory quality programs including, but not limited to, the Quality Payment Program (QPP), Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), Promoting Interoperability Program, Alternative Payment Models (APMs), and hospital quality programs affecting reimbursement. Scope will evolve over time to coincide with federal and state programmatic changes so primary tasks may not be exclusive to the aforementioned programs. Why Work at Cheyenne Regional? What You Will Be Doing:
Collaborates with clinical operations, nursing, and quality to achieve operational goals necessary for the best patient care and for regulatory compliance. Educates clinicians and senior staff on QPP and quality programs affecting reimbursement. Collaborates with electronic health records (EHR) developers and report writers both on-site and off-site to achieve operational goals necessary. Translates operational goals for developers and then translates arcane technical problems for leadership and practice managers. Assists developers with EHR education. Provides status reporting to leadership. Leads standing and ad hoc team meetings from senior leadership to technical developers, leveraging automated tools and presentation software. Develops/maintains audit-ready continuity products to enable seamless program management to include relevant and required archival. Launches multiple large-scale automated patient engagement campaigns leveraging technology to improve outcomes in Accountable Care Organization (ACO) quality measures. Collaborates with clinical resources at Cheyenne Regional (CRMC/CRMG) to engage our highest clinical/financial risk patients in order to reduce their emergency department, skilled nursing facility, and inpatient utilization. Acts as ACO liaison between CRMC and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and other ACO stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patients, nurses, and CRMC leadership regarding ACO updates and initiatives. Performs data analysis; compiles and delivers analysis products with accurate and appropriate interpretation of data gathered from a variety of data sources; these products may include but are not limited to control charts, dashboards, and scorecards. Performs quality assurance audits for continuous quality improvement of Data Management reporting deliverables. Serves as alternate System Administrator. Communicates effectively with all levels of leadership, software developers, clinic practice managers, and physician staff regarding programmatic requirements, results, and hurdles for both inpatient and outpatient measures.
