This role involves providing health education, support, and advocacy to diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to improving public health outcomes. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through outreach, education, and support services. Duties Conduct community outreach to identify and engage individuals requiring health services and education Provide health education on topics such as nutrition, addiction counseling, Medicare, and general wellness Assist clients in navigating healthcare systems and accessing resources Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral changes Collect and document data related to client interactions, health status, and service needs Support clients with disabilities by adapting communication methods and providing tailored assistance Educate clients on medical terminology relevant to their health conditions Facilitate group sessions or public speaking engagements to promote health awareness Collaborate with healthcare professionals and social workers to coordinate care plans Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations during all client interactions Experience Background in nursing, social work, public health, or related fields preferred Experience working with people with disabilities or in addiction counseling is advantageous Demonstrated ability in teaching or public speaking is desirable Familiarity with data collection methods and medical terminology is beneficial Prior experience in Medicare or community outreach programs is a plus Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations Knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques and public health principles is preferred This position is ideal for individuals passionate about community service, health education, and making a positive impact on public well-being.
Pay:
