Aspire Health Partners is Florida's largest Behavioral Health Non-Profit that provides a full continuum of behavioral healthcare services across six (6) Central Florida Counties; Brevard, Hillsborough, Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole. Summary Are you looking to create an impact in client's lives? The Making An Impact Prevention Grant is seeking a Peer Support Specialist at Aspire's Fern Park offices. Making An Impact services include prevention for infectious disease with high risk populations. As a Peer Support Specialist at Aspire Health Partners, you will be utilizing lived experience to assist consumers engage in services, reduce harmful behaviors, and achieve and maintain recovery from substance use and/or co-occurring disorders. Responsibilities Interpret and translate behavioral health communications both verbal and written between consumer and clinician ensuring accurate information is relayed Assist Outreach Workers/Case Managers with community outreach, crisis intervention, engagement, and referrals Accompanies individuals to appointments, court proceeding, school meetings, etc. Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or general equivalency degree Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services related field Minimum of 1 year of experience Experience in community health preffered Level II Background Clearance - All Aspire Health Partners Internships and Careers require Level 2 clearance, with Aspire covering fingerprinting costs.
