The Proctor ensures a secure, quiet, and supportive testing environment while upholding academic integrity and accommodating the diverse needs of students. Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Student Success, this role plays an essential part in promoting academic success within the framework of CSU's Christian mission. This is a part-time position. Work Performed Administer and proctor exams in accordance with university policies and procedures, including placement tests, make-up exams, accommodated testing, and other scheduled assessments. Maintain a secure, distraction-free testing environment that complies with academic integrity standards. Verify student identification and ensure all test-takers follow approved guidelines and rules. Set up, monitor, and collect exams and testing materials, ensuring proper handling of confidential documents. Provide testing accommodations as outlined by the Office of Accessibility Services, including extended time or assistive technology use. Maintain accurate testing logs, incident reports, and records of student attendance and behavior. Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students regarding testing schedules, procedures, and concerns. Monitor the testing room in-person at all times and remain vigilant and attentive throughout each testing session. Qualifications Part-time position; approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility during business hours. Primarily on-site at the Charleston Southern University campus. Occasional support for weekend student success events may be required.
