A Contact Tracer is a public health worker who identifies persons who may have come into contact with an infected person (contacts) and subsequent collection of further information about these contacts. The aim is to reduce infections in the population by tracing the contacts of infected individuals, testing them for infection, isolating or treating the infected and tracing their contacts in turn.

This passenger-facing role serves as a frontline representative supporting health screening and monitoring efforts within a busy transportation environment.

Sunday - Thursday; 5:00A-1:00P & 12:30P-9:00P Tuesday - Saturday; 7:30A-4:00P & 1:00P-9:30P Responsibilities Engage with travelers to explain the purpose and importance of public health surveillance and monitoring programs. Educate participants on public health initiatives, disease prevention, and health promotion efforts. Collect health-related data forms following approved procedural guidelines and training requirements. Greet travelers with a professional, welcoming, and compassionate demeanor while ensuring accurate documentation of participant data. Answer participant questions to foster trust and confidence through exceptional customer service and cultural sensitivity. Adhere strictly to regulatory, public health, and operational compliance standards. Maintain absolute confidentiality of participant records and protected health information (PHI) in alignment with HIPAA guidelines. Follow established infection prevention and biosafety protocols at all times. Collaborate with management, healthcare personnel, and external public health partners to support team operational objectives. Maintain cleanliness and organization at designated workstations and monitor supply inventory levels. Qualifications and Key Skills High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-facing healthcare, patient care, or public health-related role. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills to effectively engage with a diverse population. Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage sensitive, confidential information. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform active duties within a busy transit terminal. Preferred background includes an Associate's degree or relevant coursework in Public Health, Health Sciences, Biology, or Nursing. Knowledge of HIPAA, infection control, and bilingual or multilingual language skills are considered strong assets.
