Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced Travel Cytotechnologist to join its Medical Laboratory team. This position involves screening PAP smears and non-GYN cytology specimens , performing molecular testing on PAP vials , assisting with grossing , and ensuring accurate specimen processing while maintaining high-quality laboratory standards. Duties Screen and evaluate PAP smears and non-GYN cytology slides Perform molecular testing on PAP specimens Assist with grossing as needed Process, prepare, and stain cytology specimens Screen an average of 40-80 slides per day in compliance with CAP guidelines Maintain accurate computerized patient records Assist with specimen collection when required Ensure accurate diagnostic interpretation and quality assurance standards Requirements Active CT (ASCP) Certification - Required Associate Degree in Cytotechnology (Bachelor's preferred) Graduate of an ABHES-accredited Cytotechnology program or another HHS-approved program Minimum 2 years of Cytotechnologist experience Strong knowledge of cytology laboratory procedures and CAP standards Experience screening 60-80 slides daily with consistent diagnostic accuracy 75-mile radius rule applies (Permanent residence must be at least 75 miles from the facility)
Pay:
$2,800.00 - $3,200.00 per week Application Question(s): Associate Degree in Cytotechnology (Bachelor's preferred) Graduate of an ABHES-accredited Cytotechnology program or another HHS-approved program
