A Cytogenetic Technologist or Cytotechnologist works in a medical laboratory and uses microscopes to examine cells for signs of abnormalities that could indicate cancerous growth.
Day Shift 8 Hour, 7a to 330pm Monday through Friday CT (ASCP) and LA State License through LSBME (CLS Cytotechnologist) 2 Years Experience Required Required skills: Thin prep, ascitic fluid, esophageal, gastric, spinal, bronchial, make smears, preliminary diagnosis, staining, PAP, assist with on-site procedures, specimen labeling/identification In areas where FNA procedures are performed, our Cytotechnologists are provided a space outside of the procedure room. They do not require us to be present in the room. All of our FNA procedures are physician collected and handed off to our techs. The person selected would be expected to handle onsite FNA procedures, PAP GYN image guided ThinPrep screening, and NON-GYN (ThinPrep, smear, and cytospin) screening, in balance with our current Cytotechnologist who has 40 years of experience in Cytotechnology. #AlliedTech1 #TB_HC #ZRHC Why TalentBurst?
