Up to $3,040 per week Impact Talent Solutions (ITS) is seeking an experienced Travel Cytotechnologist for an exciting opportunity with one of Louisiana's leading healthcare systems. If you're an experienced CT (ASCP) looking for a weekday schedule, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced pathology team, we'd love to hear from you! Minimum Qualifications CT (ASCP) Certification - Required Active Louisiana State License through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME) - Required Minimum of 2 years of Cytotechnologist experience Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment Required Experience Candidates must have experience with: ThinPrep processing and screening PAP (GYN) cytology screening Non-GYN cytology screening Ascitic fluid specimens Esophageal, gastric, spinal, and bronchial specimens Smear preparation Cytospin preparation Specimen staining Preliminary diagnostic screening Accurate specimen labeling and identification Assisting with onsite Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) procedures Job Responsibilities Screen and evaluate GYN and Non-GYN cytology specimens. Perform image-guided ThinPrep PAP screening. Screen Non-GYN specimens using ThinPrep, smear, and cytospin preparations. Prepare, stain, and evaluate cytology specimens for preliminary diagnosis. Ensure accurate specimen labeling, identification, and documentation. Support physician-performed Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) procedures by preparing and evaluating specimens onsite. Cytotechnologists work from a designated area outside the procedure room while physicians perform all specimen collections. Collaborate closely with pathologists and laboratory staff to provide accurate, high-quality patient care. You'll work alongside an experienced Cytotechnologist with more than 40 years of expertise, providing a supportive, collaborative environment and an excellent opportunity to expand your skills.
