Cytotechnologist Work Schedule:

100% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday 8:30AM

• 5:00PM.

No weekends or holidays. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay:

• This position may be eligible for a $5000.00 sign-on bonus. Be part of something remarkable Help play an important role in microscopically screening patient samples to help detect cancerous or noncancerous conditions. We are seeking a Cytotechnologist to:
• Perform microscopic screening of gynecologic, non-gynecologic, and Fine Needle Aspirate (FNA) slide preparations, for the detection of precancerous and cancerous conditions.
• Make independent diagnostic evaluations during microscopic screening of gynecological and non-gynecological smears and cell blocks.
• Assist at Fine Needle Aspirate's by reviewing patient clinical history, completing requisition form, preparing and staining slides.
• Retrieve all appropriate quality control data from the laboratory information system.
• Establish and maintain an inventory and ordering system for all supplies.
• Receive and accession cytology specimens. At UW Health, you will have:

• Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical, biological sciences, or a related field Required
• Completion of an accredited cytotechnology program. Required
• Bachelor's Degree in cytotechnology Preferred Work Experience
• 1 year experience as a cytotechnologist Preferred Licenses & Certifications
• Cytotechnologist (ASCP) certified within 180 Days Required
