Role:
The Dental Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to the Dentist to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. This role requires flexibility and a team-oriented approach to support overall program and departmental goals. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Dentist with chairside procedures and patient care Take and process dental X-rays Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Ensure proper sterilization, cleanliness, and infection control Prepare and organize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms Manage supplies and maintain inventory Support scheduling, patient communication, and front desk tasks Perform basic lab duties and provide oral hygiene education Follow all safety, compliance, and clinic protocols
Core Qualifications:
Certificate in Dental Assisting from a Dental Assisting Program required. Must maintain annual continuing education hours as required for certification as Dental Assistant. Two (2) years of experience as a Dental Assistant required. Experience with dental software preferred. (Dentrix and Dexis) Must maintain current professional licensure in Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain licensure within ninety (90) days of date of hire. Must possess certification of "Mandatory Reporter Training" or obtain certification during the first week of employment. Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed. Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check. Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events. Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.

Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines Proficient in computers, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strong multitasking, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Build and maintain positive working relationships Committed to quality, accountability, and professionalism Follow all policies, procedures, and safety standards Physically able to perform job duties, including lifting up to 40 lbs and extended standing
