Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure in the applicable state or region. Proven experience in dental assisting within a general or pediatric dentistry setting; familiarity with dental terminology is essential. Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, anatomy, and dental assisting procedures. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics; experience working as a dental receptionist is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and patient privacy; understanding of medical coding for accurate documentation. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with chairside procedures efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
