Job Description
About us We provide compassionate, quality dental care. Ty King D.D.S. in Rogers, AR is looking to add a dental assistant to our amazing team. The ideal candidate has a passion for dentistry and education, with the ability to create trust with patients of all ages. We are seeking a registered dental assistant. This position will involve cross training with the ability to cover reception duties as needed. Dr. King has been in practice for over 20 years. We put patient care first, and our team has a lot of fun together along the way. Our hours are M-Th 7am-3:30pm. We offer a comprehensive benefit package, including PTO, holiday pay, 401-k, medical, dental, vision and life insurance. Any applications will be kept confidential. - Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments and materials, and performing other tasks as directed
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are ready
- Take and record patients' medical histories, vital signs, and dental charting
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar
- Ability to perform dental receptionist duties such as answering phone calls, greeting patients, and handling patient inquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic dental software
- Assist with dental radiographs (x-rays) as needed
- Follow aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Arkansas Dental Assistant License required
- CPR Certification
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment Please note pay will be based off of experience.
