Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly with proper infection control protocols. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental tools, managing suction devices, and passing instruments efficiently to facilitate four-handed dentistry. Take and develop X-ray images while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety standards. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Support patients by explaining procedures, answering questions about dental terminology, and assisting with medical documentation or medical coding when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines to ensure patient safety at all times. Requirements Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred; familiarity with dental assisting procedures is essential. Proficiency in dental software systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is required for managing medical records and documentation efficiently. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices is crucial for success in this role. Ability to perform X-ray imaging accurately while following safety protocols; certification in radiography is a plus. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and collaborate with the dental team.
