Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and support various aspects of general and pediatric dentistry. This job could also work the front desk. Excellent customer service, friendly, outgoing, computer/ phone skills and a great multitasker! Current Arkansas Dental Assisting License is a must!!! Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment. Take and record vital signs of patients as needed. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures. Manage medical records, including updating patient information and treatment plans. Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for scheduling and record management. Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist when needed, greeting patients and answering inquiries. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures with children to ensure a comfortable experience. Skills Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in dental care. Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures. Experience with medical records management to maintain accurate patient information. Familiarity with Eaglesoft software systems for efficient office operations. Ability to assist in pediatric dentistry, demonstrating patience and understanding with young patients. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members.
